What was I thinking...

Today I did the unthinkable...

I joined an online dating site.  What is happening to me.

I don't know why I did it...boredom I guess?  I don't know- but I'm kind of freaking out about it.  I haven't done online dating in like...5 years.  I know there is nothing wrong with it- my sister met her husband off an online dating sight- but I'm 99.9% sure it's not for me.  I don't like emailing back and forth- I feel like you can't tell if you have chemistry with someone.  You may THINK you have chemistry with someone...and then you meet them in person and the whole thing goes south in about .5 seconds.  But I'm willing to risk it right now because I'm bored and I want a date.  We'll see what happens...should produce a good story or two.

I'm also going to the gym tonight.  I'm not excited about it- but something has to be done.  I barely cracked the 140 barrier and now I have to work like a crazy to stay under that line.  I'm determined to stay under that damn line.  I ate wayyyyy too much today...if I don't hit the gym, I'll be back up in the morning still...and I just don't want that!!!

Okay love bugs- sorry this is short- but I have to get to the gym. Miss S sent me a little reminder asking what I was doing...and I can't not have an answer for her.  Be ready Miss S!  I'm going right now!!!!

XO!!

  1. i think you just perfectly summed up online dating! but it's not all bad, as we've all seen, and maybe you'll have a good story, in a good way. and the maybe doesn't exist till you give it a try!

way to break 140! you can do anything, Dizzy.

  2. Dizz online dating is hard and I did it for a while too. I actually met some great friends from there, but on a positive note I think it open up the choices you have to meet some one. Dizz you are amazing and any man would be lucky to have you at his side. You can always stop just as anything you choose in life, but Dizz just give it a fair shake. xoxoxo

  3. I met my husband online, although not at a dating site. I guess we were lucky because the chemistry we felt online just went through the roof when we met :)

Eh, like you said... if nothing else it will be good for a few posts. Enjoy it!

  4. I used to love talking to guys online but almost every time it was a bummer at the end. I do know many couples though that met that way and have been happy together. So you never know!

We need some pictures! Post some!

  5. Ha! I was just checking on you. ;)

The super nosy girl in me is kind of excited to see how the online dating thing will go for you. If I were single I think it could be fun to try all kinds of new & interesting things to meet people. What the heck-you only live once Dizzy!
