Emergency preparedness...

I am super excited about my new workout routine.  I am still sore from Saturday's workout and I love it.  I don't know why this makes me feel like I have something to focus on - (cause in reality I have a ton of things that I still need to focus on, let's be honest), but it helps and lifts my spirits (I'm not depressed, but I am always surprised at how much working out and having goals make me feel better...even after all this time).  My friend Em that I'm doing this thing with- she constantly hits me up with little text messages and voicemails that say things like, "we're going to be the skinniest bitches ever!" and it is keeping me excited and super motivated.  Here's to summer and having fun on the beach!!!

After the horrific events in Japan I am also back to putting together a 72 hour emergency kit.  If you were reading my blog a few months ago- you might remember I had like...a DAY where I was all about it.  That day came and went.  But now, after realizing that earthquake could've hit us this weekend here on the west coast- and after reading tons of headlines that say millions are still without food, water, and warmth, I am back to building my little emergency pack to keep in my car or to keep under my bed to 'grab and go".   I've also been reading that "California is next"...and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we were.  Which is all the more reason I need to quit being lazy and put a emergency bag together.  You know- fresh underwear,'s all essentials. :)

XO friends!!! Wish me luck on my workout!

  1. Kill that workout, Dizzy! I know you can and will. I remember that post you did on emergency preparedness. Made me realize unprepared I am! I am praying for your health and safety. You are so very sweet to always be thinking of others.

Thanks for reminding me about the dog bite...I don't know how I missed that!!!

    xoxo <3

  2. Have a great workout, Dizzy! And good going on the emergency pack. We keep some MRE's and water around because, well, this being Florida... it pays to be prepared :)

  3. You are so right. After your last post I even wrote a list of things to have and well it got pushed to the back burner but I am feeling the need to be more prepared. And sweet work on the work out and You ARE definitely going to be one of the hottest biznetches as soon as they develop a hotter hottness than u are already :)

  4. You are a sexy bitch! You should take some before shots. =)

Wow-are we on the same wave length or what? Last night I looked through our first aid kit and mentally made a list of emergency items we need as well. Having kids takes the "fear factor" to a whole new level.

  5. You will rock your work out! For Christmas my sister put together an emergency kit for me to keep in the car. I drive to Colorado for work and she wanted me to have it, just in case. She wrapped each item and put it all in a travel box. I love it. I hope I never have to use it but if I do it'll save my life! You need to put yours together!!
